Agnus | Elle's Studio Live Laugh Love Pocket Pages

Hi again :) I have been playing with the new 'Live Laugh Love' collection from Elle's Studio and am sharing some of our March memories from my project life album.

I love the bright and fresh colours in this collection and it was prefect for brightening up some not so colourful photos.

I love a range that provides not only pretty papers but coordinating embellishments too, and this collection definitely gave me a lot of options.

The puffy stickers were great for adding dimension and vivid colour, and the cardstock cut-outs and die-cuts were perfect for both filler cards and photos.

Besides repeating the same colours on the second page, I also repeated several horizontal elements to keep my pages looking consistent. I chose several patterned papers with a horizontal pattern from the paper pad and used horizontal journal strips along with horizontal accents pieces to create a continuous flow.

I also used some simple white alpha stickers in the classic Elle's Studio font to help me to create titles, and couldn't resist adding more of the cute puffy stickers to dress up my printed journal strips.

I used a horizontal puffy sticker to ground one of the longer journal strips to the photo, and utilized one of the die-cut tags to connect the 3x4" photo with one of the patterned papers for a larger 6x4" pocket.

BMX Adventure | Bella Blvd | Tarrah McLean

Hi there Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you again and today I am sharing a new scrapbook layout featuring 2 of the Bella Blvd boy collections....Max and Alex mixed together!

I recently took my boys to the local skate ramp for some fun and some photo opportunities too of course! My little guy rode his bike around and loved it as they were the only kids there that afternoon! The Bella Blvd Max and Alex collections include some great products for photos of your boys!

The ephemera included in the Alex collection has die-cuts to suit any kid and their hobbies! I also added the Heidi Swapp wood veneer to form part of my title and I also used the Bella Blvd yellow puffy star stickers to embellish!

The background arrow paper was the perfect paper to use with these photos, I like how the paper shows movement with the arrows directed up and down. The BMX word are the Alex sticker alphabet that I coloured black as the grey would have been lost into the background paper otherwise.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy Scrappers blog today!
Make sure you check out all the amazing products in the Sassy store for all your crafting needs!

I will see you again in June as I am going overseas for all of May!

Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Art with Kylie

Hello lovely ones!

Kylie back today with my last project for April and with using the Rose Quartz collection from Prima Marketing. It's been a fun month!
For todays project I have created a mixed media piece, centred around one of the beautiful quote cut outs. The whole idea for this piece came though from this feather paper.

I really wanted to fussy cut those feathers out! I did so and also made tiny incisions along each edge to really give them a likeness to a real feather.

I love how some of them looked like they were dipped in rose gold too!  So pretty.
Here is a little look at my completed work....

I wanted lots of texture and soft colour to match.I think the feathers added a nice touch too!
I began my layout with a coat of clear Gesso followed by White Gesso, but using the white mainly in the area of where the bulk would be.I also made sure to apply uneven and with loads of brush strokes showing for added texture.I then used some of the Prima Color Bloom sprays from the Sassy Store
I found Peony and Pressed Petal were the perfect tones for this collection.

Once the colours were dry 98% I then added a clear text stamp and some Bronze embossing powder, both from my stash.Because the colour sprays weren't thoroughly dry some of the embossing powder stuck to them and gave a brilliant effect.
(*Truth be told that happened by accident....Oopsies....Thought the splatters were dry! But I ended up loving it so much I was happy for the mistake!)You can see an example clearly by this next photo.
I loved having the script in the background as well.

One thing I love about Prima Marketing is how they bring out matching blooms for each collection. The flowers for Rose Quartz do not disappoint as usual. I also added one or two from my stash and some leaves for balance.

These are the flowers from the collection.

I adore the Grateful Heart paper from this range. It has a selection of quote cards in different sizes.I cut one of these as my centre focus. All of the leaves are rose gold.

I made sure to distress the edges a little before backing it with foam tape for a little height. It gave some dimension to the overall layout.

To finish I diluted some white paint with water and added some splatters around my layout.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today and it inspires you to create your own masterpiece!

Can't wait to share with you all projects for May.Watch this space......

Kylie xoxo

Everyday Gamer | Bella Blvd Alex | Tarrah McLean

Hi there Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I have another boy themed layout to share with you using the awesome 'Alex' collection by Bella Blvd.

To begin this layout I decided to cut a title from a Just Nick Studio cut file set that went with the theme of my photo! My eldest son is a mad gamer so this title was perfect for this layout! The 'everyday' wood veneer piece from the Heidi Swapp set was also the perfect addition to my title too!

Once I had my title set out how I wanted it to look, I began to add my photo and some of the cute embellishments from the Bella Blvd Alex collection...there are lots of pieces that reference gaming and boys in this collection so they had to be included on this layout!

The wood veneer pieces I added include a star burst and some arrows and I added some of the yellow puffy stars also by Bella Blvd. Stars and arrows never go astray on boy layouts! The flair and enamel dots are the only things I added as extras from my stash.

I finished this layout off with some Mister Huey's Warm Calico Mist (I use this a lot on my layouts).

Have you checked out the Sassy store lately? You can find the Bella Blvd Alex collection plus loads more gorgeous products in store now!

Happy creating!

See you next week!
