Project Life Monday | Stamping...

Hello Sassy Friends! Welcome back to another PL2015 tutorial.  This week I am sharing a few simple ideas on creating filler cards using the Kelly Purkey "All Decked Out" clear stamps & October Afternoon | Under The Tree.
These cards came together very quickly once I gathered my supplies, including the smooth classic white cardstock from Bazzill and my favourite ombre inks from Hero Arts.

Tis the Season | 3x4 Filler Card
step 1: Mount the reindeer image from the Kelly Purkey | All Decked Out clear stamps, on to a clear acrylic block.  Layer the 3x4 blank card on top of some scratch/scrap paper.
step 2: Ink the clear stamp with your favourite ombre ink and stamp the image on to the 3x4 card, allowing only half of the stamp to show on the cardstock. See image above.  You want to only have half of the deer head on the cardstock. Having the scratch paper below the 3x4 card will prevent marking your work surface.

step 3: Flick a few drops of Heidi Swapp colorshine | Navy directly on to the card. Trim the "Merry & Bright" banner from the October Afternoon | Under The Tree Merry Making paper. Layer near the bottom of the card.

step 4: Trim the "Tis the Season" square from the same patterned paper and mount on to foam dots. Angle it slightly and adhere to the top of the Merry & Bright banner.

Reindeer Mask | 3x4 Filler Card

step 1: Using the reindeer image, ink with a blue ombre ink pad. Stamp the image in the middle of the 3x4 cardstock filler card. Stamp a second reindeer image on to scratch/scrap paper and fussy cut as close to the inked image edge, as possible. This second deer image/paper piece becomes the mask.

step 2: Using removable adhesive, attach the fussy cut deer head directly over the top of the 3x4 cardstock image. Try to line up the images to as near as perfect that you can manage.

step 3: Using a contrasting ombre ink, select the "merry making" clear stamp from the Kelly Purkey | All Decked Out set. Ink the image with the lightest colour from the ombre ink pad and starting from the top of the card, create a brick wall effect, by repeating the stamp. Change the colour of the ombre ink as you graduate down the card, keeping the deepest colour for the bottom of the 3x4 card. Stamp directly over the mask to keep a uniformed look.

step 4: Carefully peel back the paper mask to reveal a clear reindeer image below.

Simple Stamping | 3x4 Filler Card

step 1: Using the "Magic" phrase from the clear stamp collection, ink with your favourite ombre ink and stamp on to the center lower third of the smooth cardstock 3x4 card.
step 2: Ink the "North Pole" round stamp with a contrasting ombre ink and center it to the first stamped image.

step 3: Add a small piece of patterned paper to the top edge of the 3x4 card, trimming the lower edge on an angle.
step 4: Complete the card with a few simple star sequins.

Thanks for joining me here this week with some stamping fun!
